Have you ever witnessed the traditional art of block printing? This age-old craft is carried out with handmade wooden block stamps which are hand pressed into beautiful patterns onto fabric. The Monsoon napkins in unbleached organic cotton is printed by hand in a small workshop in India. Two sisters started this new workshop where experienced craftsmen blockstamp each tablecloth individually. Block by block the pattern is created per napkin and finished off with a block printed border in a contrasting colour. Traditionally the women in the workshop are sewing the linens and the men carry out the craft of block printing. Monsoon napkins come in a small delicate cotton bag so we keep it plastic free. You can combine the napkins with matching table linen which are also finished with a block print border. A perfect combination to create a warm summer eve vibe at your table or picnic.
